So its all great that you graduated your university studies, but what do you do after you graduate? Planning what you will be doing after college is essential and it’ll make it much easier to pay off any debt that you may off. If you don’t plan ahead that’s how you’ll end up in a lot of trouble and lot of debt. My biggest advice for you is to not accumulate too much debt and students loans while you are still attending. Make sure that you think of a plan to repay all of this. I had to settle for a sucky low end job since I couldn’t find a good one and I needed to pay off my debts ASAP. Lucky for me however, I was a teacher so I found that there were some grants to pay off student loans that can help me out. The average time that it takes a student to finally land that job that they wanted is around six months. Fresh out of college graduate will find themselves battling it out against each other for these low paying entry level jobs. Taking care of your debt problems while you are still in college is also another plan, but it requires a lot of discipline and lot of time and effort. To my knowledge, the only real way to do this is to get a full time job while you are still in college. Your grades will suffer tremendously if you take a full time job while you are still in college. Another tip I have for you guys is to consolidate any kind of debt that you may have while you are still in college. Be sure to keep track of any of the loans or grants that you might have.

My useless college degree

I review an article that listed the five most pointless university levels and discovered my qualification is amount four on the list. This truly upset me. I paid a bunch for that qualification.

Literally, a quite excellent argument might be made that all college degrees are useless. I have a nephew that finished from senior high last year and may make over $ 80,000 in his 1st year helping an oilfield service business. The authors of The Millionaire Next Door made an appealing revelation while doing the analysis for their book. The majority of millionaires have no more than a high school education and learning. And then there’s Invoice Gates and Steve Jobs, who had to go and set the curve for college dropouts and come to be billionaires.

We have certainly been conditioned to believe that to be successful we’re expected to go to university and get a qualification. Having a contrarian bent I chose against attending university and as an alternative obtained in the army after graduating from highschool. If you want evidence of merely exactly how ignorant I am, this was during the Vietnam War. Additional guys were going to university hoping to get deferments and here I was trying to register. But I could not pass the Army’s entrance assessment— I flunked my physical.

Denied by Uncle Sam for having a bad backside I registered at Northern Oklahoma University as an art major. After three semesters I determined I didn’t desire to register the ranks of starving performers so I dropped out. I worked in a feedyard for a couple of months, managed a hog farm a couple of months, then benefited the Oklahoma Methodist Boys Ranch for a few months and was fired.

So, just what do you do when the Army and the Methodists don’t want you? I applied at Oklahoma State University. Luckily they weren’t almost as picky as the military and the church— they literally accepted me. Of course I had to pay them instead of getting paid. I switched over my significant to animal science and managed to graduate with a 3.00015 grade point average. Finally, I had indeed succeeded at a little something! And now, 35 years later I identify out that my level is a dud.

It’s worth remembering that this write-up concerning pointless degrees was uploaded on the Yahoo! Education website and was created by a guy named Terence Loose. I’m not making this up. Yahoo! Education needs to be the utmost oxymoron. Place Yahoo! Learning and Loose in the same sentence and you have certainly got the makings of a Saturday Night Live skit. According to Loose, the most ineffective level is simply plain old horticulture. Fashion design is number 2, theater is amount 3, animal science is amount 4 and gardening is amount 5. So, three of his five most useless qualifications are in horticulture. All I need to state regarding that is, “Yahoo!”

I’ll admit I’m influenced but I think there are so much more worthless levels than cultivation. My nominations are law, civics and the notorious MBA (masters of business administration). Does the world really want more attorneys and politicians? And contemplate all those too-big-to-fail businesses we needed to bail out. They were run by MBAs!

We’ll need to double food production by the year 2050 to feed 9 billion folks and I do not think lawyers, politicians and MBAs will be the ones to identify just how to get that done. It’ll be up to us aggies to feed the globe.

Granted, my animal science qualification hasn’t made me a millionaire but it aided get me projects with a couple of feed businesses. Then I found out the best use for my level was as a management consultant. We share 98.4 % of the same genes by having chimpanzees. Just what more desirable qualification could possibly I have actually picked to deal by having folks than animal science?

So, that’s what I’ve been doing for the last twenty-some years— traveling around speaking at meetings, talking with providers and creating publications and write-ups. And I in fact get paid to do it! So, don’t inform me my qualification in animal science is ineffective.
